Standing Committees

Sara-Cam’s Standing Committees & Responsibilities

Each Standing Committee must be chaired by a member or officer of the Board of Directors

Finance:  Concerns itself with all matters relating to the financial condition of Sara-Cam, including responsibility for supervising the management of all funds of Sara-Cam, and making recommendations concerning the financial feasibility of  Sara-Cam projects, acts and undertakings referred to it by the Board.  This primary responsibilities is provided in the By-Laws Section 5.2.2, which also lists six additional functions of the Finance Committee.

Membership: Recruits qualified Mobile Home Owners in Camelot Lakes to become members of Sara-Cam; maintains current contact information on members to ensure prompt and accurate distribution of Association-related materials; and maintains records on membership dues

Special Events: Plans and carries out community-spirited events and activities designed to fulfill Sara-Cam’s mission to cultivate a strong sense of community; raises money for Sara-Cam’s operational expenses

Nominating: Identifies and pursues qualified individuals willing to be nominated to serve as Directors at any time there are current or pending vacancies on the Board; submits to the members the list of its nominees for election to the Board at the Annual Meeting.

 

IN ADDITION TO THESE FOUR STANDING COMMITTEES REQUIRED UNDER THE BY-LAWS, GROUPS HAVE ASSEMBLED AND MEET PERIODICALLY TO CARRY OUT VARIOUS FUNCTIONS THAT SUPPORT SARA-CAM’S MISSION:

Hospitality: Coordinates the provision of refreshments for Sara-Cam monthly homeowners meetings and special events.

Website: Establishes and maintains the Sara-Cam website to ensure positive public online exposure for the Association; posts accurate and current information of benefit to members

Welcome:  Organize “meet and greet” sessions for new park residents to welcome them to our Community and to provide informational materials on Camelot Lakes, the local community, and the advantages of joining Sara-Cam, the Homeowners’ Association

Buildings, Grounds, Roads & Amenities: Conducts periodic inspections of community buildings, green areas, roadways, pools, spas, and sports and fitness facilities to assess whether standards established by agreements with park management are met; monitors access control practices to assess whether they meet established standards for community safety

Homeowners’ Emergency Action Team (HEAT): Coordinates with park management to provide emergency assistance in preparation for a potential disaster and/or on-going assistance whenever a disaster affects the community
